If you have a high-performance car or are upgrading your vehicle, you should consider acquiring some ultra-high-performance tyres.
Ultra high-performance tyres are only suitable for summer use and prioritise grip over all other factors. They're also known as extreme performance tyres or maximum performance tyres. On dry roads, tyres that fit under these classifications have a lot of traction. Although super high-performance tyres can be driven in the rain, they are ideally suited to dry surfaces. If you enjoy going to the track, participating in autocross events, or performing some (legal and safe) canyon driving, you may desire super high-performance tyres. Michelin Pilot Super Sport If you're looking for a high-performance tyre and don't mind spending a little money, the Michelin Pilot Super Sport is the tyre for you. Among super high-performance tyres, this has long been the market leader. The Michelin Pilot Super Sport not only has some of the best grips of an ultra-high performance tyre, but it's also superbly balanced. They operate well in dry and rainy conditions, have good road noise and comfort, and are long-lasting. • Pros: Extremely high levels of traction in both dry and wet conditions, good noise and comfort, long-lasting • Cons: Expensive, only suitable for summer use • Bottom Line: One of, if not the greatest, super high-performance tyres you can buy. Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position The Bridgestone Potenza S04 Pole Position is another tyre with a lot of traction and works well in both dry and rainy weather. They are significantly heavier than the Michelin PSS yet provide comparable performance. However, we don't advocate using these Hankook Tyres Rotherham when the weather starts to cool, as we don't recommend using any super high-performance tyres when the weather starts to cool.
Michelin Pilot Sport Cup II The Michelin Pilot Sport Cup II is the factory OEM tyre on some of the world's fastest cars, including the Porsche 911 GT2 RS, which holds the world lap record. Porsche doesn't mess around when it comes to performance, so you can count on the Sport Cup II to deliver. These tyres deliver absurd grip levels in the dry, but the manufacturer doesn’t suggest driving with them in wet conditions. They would work well on wet roads, however should not be used in still water. The grip of these tyres on dry roads is high, with high durability and comfort levels on the road.
Yokohama Advan Neova AD08 R It is developed to provide a good grip on both dry and wet roads. The tyre’s tread can generate loud noise, but its sticky and soft compound offers high grip levels. These have been rated as a consistent tyre exhibiting constant performance in hot conditions. However, they are costly; driving them on the track could help elongate the tread’s life and save some money.
Hankook Ventus R-S4 These tyres deliver great cornering and handling abilities. Their pattern is directional and low-void featuring a silica and carbon black compound. They provide good grip due to the huge shoulder blocks. A centre and continuous rib lead to a decent response while steering. However, they are not ideal to be used in the season with heavy rains. Their shoulder provides additional reinforcement to take care of the performance while driving.
The sticky and soft compound increases the Tyres Rotherham grip in higher temperatures. They are highly focused on performance that offers wider road contact. Some of them are asymmetrical, meaning they cannot be rotated. This indicates that they are more responsive.
